Meet Our Doctors
Rachel West Perentis DDS
“The biggest fear for my patients is the fear of pain. Talking to them, distracting them, and just getting them through it with little or no discomfort is what gains their trust.”
Dr. Rachel Perentis was born and raised in Iowa and attended the University of Iowa. It was there she met her husband, Dr. Greg Perentis. Together, they have two sons, two daughters, a daughter-in-law, and an amazing grandson. Family is very important to them, and this translates into how they run our practices.
Dr. Perentis moved to North Carolina in 2001 and immediately set to work, helping young people acquire healthy smiles. She finds it genuinely enriching to help children gain a positive view of dentistry.
Our dentist in Durham, NCLearn more about our office knew from a young age that she wanted to help kids and work in the health field. Dentistry was the ideal fit, and she loves what she does. You’ll see this is super clear by the amount of fun Dr. Perentis has when each child visits.
Gregory Joseph Perentis DDS
“When children are nervous or apprehensive, and everybody around them is happy, smiling and relaxed, then they will feed off of the positive energy.”
Dr. Gregory Perentis grew up in Nebraska and then moved to Iowa for University (although he is still a Cornhusker fan to this day). He has three brothers and a sister.
Dr. Perentis met his wife Rachel (see her bio above) while at dental school, and married her in the summer of his senior year.
Our dentist in Greensboro, NCLearn more about our dentists in Greensboro, NC, knew early on that he wanted to be a dentist. He has always had a strong love for people and the desire to own his own business. Plus, he loves working with his hands. Dentistry checks all those boxes!
Dr. Perentis would describe himself as a “big kid at heart.” He truly enjoys interacting with our patients and brings in silly things that get a great reaction from the kids. So far this includes a clown nose, funny hats, and movies.
I have been taking my daughter here since we moved into the area. Everyone is so friendly here and they are pretty good about getting us in and out but still being proficient. It’s a great dental office. I would recommend this place. Five stars!
